Big 12 place 6 on BA's All-American teams

Six Big 12 players were named to the Baseball America Preseason All-American teams. Leading the way on the first team is the Texas outfield duo of Kyle Russell and Jordan Danks. Russell led the nation last year in homers with 28, while Danks was perfect on stolen bases for the year with 19. On the pitching side, Missouri Jr. Aaron Crow was also named to the first team after recording 9 wins in 2007.

The second team featured only one player from the conference; Texas Tech outfielder Roger Kieschnick. Kieschnick led the Red Raiders last year with 43 extra base hits. The third team featured Texas A&M 2B Blake Stouffer. Stouffer was tops on the Aggie baseball team with a .398 average and 102 hits. Also on the third team is Oklahoma State Jr. Jordy Mercer. Mercer was named as the utility player. Mercer hit .299 while going 3-1 on the mound for the Cowboys.
